Domain names are unique. By registering a domain name you stop anyone else from registering the same name, with the same extention. By “same extention” I mean the .co.uk or the .com bit after the name. So if you register the domain name www. YourSite.co.uk the domain www. YourSite.com is still available for anyone to register.
It is for that reason that we reccomend that you register BOTH the .co.uk and the .com versions of your domain name. This is also a very good idea because lots of people assume that all domain names end in .co.uk whilst others think they all end in .com . If you register both versions we can arrange that both versions go to the same website - therefore you do not loose any website visitors.

eMail Accounts
Every website hosting account with FBnetSERVICES comes with UnLimited POP3 eMail Accounts.
Again, in simple terms a POP3 eMail account referes to the email alias – the word before the @ sign in @yourdomain.co.uk So you can have as many eMail aliases as you need. i.e. sales@ yourdomain.com steve@ accounts@ etc.
Each email account can be collected from different PC’s if you wish using software like Microsoft Outlook which is normally already installed on most PC’s.
We also include a “Web Mail” facility which enables you to send / collect email via a web browser from any PC in the world which has an internet connection. So you can use internet cafes while you are on holiday. Unlike some website hosting companies we do not any extra charge for this feature.
eMail Only Accounts
If you just need an eMail facilty without a website our eMail Only Package will suit you. A Domain Name, 10 eMail accounts & a FREE webpage with your contact details – for Only £35 per year.
Website Hosting
Now that you have registered your domain name you now need to “rent” some website space on a web server to hold the website files. Much the same as you have hard drive space on your PC for your files, but a webserver is located in a secure datacentre which is connected to the World Wide Web via a large telecoms network. Obvioulsy FBnetSERVICES can offer you website hosting space on our own web servers.
For the record, our servers are Unix based & run cPanel with Fantastico, a pre-loaded FREE auto web script installer. Which means that every website hosting account has its own user control panel & FTP facilities. This gives you full control over eMail, File uploading & a host of other features including website visitor statistics.
